Dr Barclay graduated from Sheffield University UK in 1987. After an initial period of Junior hospital jobs including several years in Anaesthetics, he switched to General Practice, commencing as a GP in 2000 in the UK.

He spent a year between 2019-2020 working at Marion Domain and has recently returned. He has developed an interest in the Low Carb lifestyle particularly in the management of Chronic Metabolic Disease (eg Type 2 diabetes, weight management).
He is interested in playing sports including Tennis.
