Bhupendrasinh Parmar is a passionate, enthusiastic, motivated, and empathetic mental health therapist who follows an approach that reconnects people with their own power, wisdom, and purpose.
Parmar is committed to reducing the suffering of clients throughout their recovery journey. He understands the challenges faced by individuals and families in today’s fast-paced and demanding world.
Parmar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work. He has extensive training in evidence-based psychotherapy approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (relationship counselling), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, meditation, and ADHD coaching.
Parmar uses a range of therapeutic approaches to support individuals experiencing anxiety, mood disorders including depression and bipolar affective disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), trauma, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, child and adolescent relationship challenges, parenting concerns and family conflict, risky behaviours including self-harm and suicidal ideation, situational and life crises, low self-esteem and confidence, sleep difficulties, stress management concerns, and work-related issues.
Parmar is currently accepting referrals through multiple pathways including Medicare, workers compensation and ReturnToWorkSA (RTWSA), Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) insurance schemes, DVA, NDIS, and private referrals. He accepts referrals for individuals aged 12 years and older, including patients with GP Mental Health Care Plans.
Parmar has extensive experience working within the private sector and across a variety of settings, including South Australian public mental health services.
